Asphalt Shingle Installation
Fun fact: more than 95 percent of residential roofs in Denver, Colorado were built using asphalt shingles. There are three main types.
Three-tab Shingles: These are not our preferred choice, because three-tab shingles are essentially one-layer shingles that cannot withstand high winds. As such, they’re more prone to weather damage.
Architectural / Dimensional Shingles: These are the new standard in residential roofing and they’re installed on most newer homes. This is a three-layer shingle that can withstand hurricane force winds. They’re also impact resistant and this type of shingle can withstand mid-sized hail.
Designer Shingles: These thick, heavy shingles mimic wood shake shingles, tile and slate. Some industry experts believe that homeowners that choose designer shingles can dramatically increase their home’s value. They provide an outstanding return on investment.

Warranty and Shingle warranties TAB
At Capital Roofing & Restoration we’ve partnered with GAF, which is the second largest manufacturer of shingles in the US. The shingles we use have a manufacturer-backed warranty. Capital Roofing & Restoration is a GAF Master Elite contractor. This rating is offered to less than 2% of roofing contractors nationwide.
We feel that GAF’s shingles are among the best there are. One of the main reasons that we were so pleased to partner with GAF is due to their industry-leading warranties.
Their warranties cover both materials and labor should you experience a manufacturer defect. GAF is the only company that offers this type of warranty. Their Silver Pledge warranty covers materials and labor for 10 years.
Our company is also factory-certified to install the Weather Stopper® 5-Part Roofing System. This roofing system is designed to provide balanced ventilation for your roofing system, which can help reduce your energy bills, prevent structural deterioration and it can also help prevent premature peeling of both interior and exterior paint.
